Outstanding Results!

Music Recital and Awards Evening

From Director of Music, Mrs Madden: “Our Year 7-10 musicians excelled at our inaugural Music Recital and Awards Evening on Thursday 23rd June. We are so proud of over 60 performers, who entertained the audience with their ensembles such as String, Woodwind and Guitar Groups and solos on piano, strings, woodwind, brass, vocals, guitar and drums. The students showcased their talent and skill in a supportive, friendly and nurturing environment, many of them having the courage to perform in public for the very first time and they acknowledged their appreciative audience with a deep bow and a big smile! The Year 10 Music GCSE ensemble brought the evening to a rousing finale with their rendition of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ by Journey.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to Year 9 and 10 for their long-standing commitment to musical ensembles throughout their time at Trinity – students received a certificate and a Trinity Music pin-badge to display on their blazer for being consistently part of an ensemble since Year 7. We are looking forward to presenting further awards to long-standing members of Choir and Steel Pans at our Summer Showcase Concert. Special congratulations go to Ben (Year 9), Ella and Sam (Year 10) who received an Outstanding Commitment award for being dedicated members of no less than 5 ensembles since Year 7! Congratulations and well done to all our musicians.”
