The Prime Minister meets our “talented young people”

In order to mark the centenary of the first women to be given the right to vote, the Prime Minister visited us here in Manchester, on Tuesday 6th February, and made an important speech highlighting the enormous strides we have taken as a society over the past 100 years.

The speech was filmed and broadcast live around the world with Trinity Sixth Form students amongst the invited guests.

In the photos below you can see the selected group who met Mrs May and talked to her about how their work with the ‘Debate Mate’ initiative had equipped them with the confidence to lead and communicate effectively as citizens, not just of this country, but of the world. I can personally vouch for the maturity and eloquence of our sixth formers; it’s wonderful that our students are involved in impressing and influencing those in the government.
