Young Writer’s Competition

Teacher of English, Ms Shaw, tells us about an exciting competition some students have been working on in their English lessons:

“Students in 7ACO took part in the Young Writer’s competition ‘The Beautiful Truth’ in which they wrote and submitted a poem about their identity. Amazingly, all students who chose to submit their poem have been chosen to be published in the anthology ‘The Beautiful Truth: A Way With Words’ which will be published in January, 2025 and archived in the British Library. Young Writers said about our students, “having all your students’ work chosen is something to be proud of and it doesn’t happen every day! We were impressed with their amazing writing which shows their inspiring engagement with poetry”. Well done 7ACO!”
