BTEC Applied Science

Course Information

BTEC Applied Science is a Science course that covers Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Through this course students develop their scientific knowledge and gain invaluable scientific skills to work in a scientific workplace.

Students study a programme of work and then they complete assignments based on the knowledge, understanding and skills that they develop.

As a BTEC course, Applied Science is a practical, hands-on qualification that will give students real world, practical skills to use in their future scientific careers.

Please note that there is a compulsory residential trip at the end of Year 12 included in the Applied Science Diploma. There is a financial cost to this, however generous support is available at school if students meet certain criteria.

  • Studying a Scientific Organisation
