A Level Computing

Course Information

Already know how to use spreadsheet and word processing software? Would you like to learn more about the science behind computers and how they work? Would you like to write your own applications? Would you like to think more logically, critically, and independently?

Studying Computing allows you to understand the function of each component inside a computer and how they communicate in binary and hexadecimal.

You’ll investigate computer networks and understand how data is transferred between devices.

And you’ll learn much more besides.

  • Fundamentals of Programming
  • Fundamentals of Computer Systems
  • Consequences of Uses of Computing
  • Fundamentals of Communication and Networking
