A Level French

Please note, this course will run only if numbers are viable.

Course Information

The course provides an opportunity to build on the language skills you have already acquired at GCSE, as well as study a film and a literary text over the two years. You will also prepare an individual research project at the end of year 13.

You will achieve a   level of competence, using the language with confidence in a French speaking environment. This will happen much more spontaneously than in Year 11.

Course Content

Modules Include:

  • Social issues and trends in French-speaking society
  • Artistic culture in the French-speaking world
  • Aspects of political life in the French-speaking world

Future Careers

You can study French alongside most degrees at university, and having an additional language will help you in any career you could wish to enter.
